The Late Shri Chandulal Satia was our first Chairman and Late Shri Hiralal Bhagwati was our first Managing Director. Shri Bhagwati provided leadership to the bank for 11 years as Managing Director and then for 21 years as Chairman. Shri Navnitbhai Choksi, a leading cloth merchant and philanthropist led the Bank for 2 years as Vice Chairman, 16 years as Managing Director and finally for 3 years as its chairman. One prominent industrialist Shri Ramakant Bhojnagarwala has also provided leadership as Managing Director for 3 years and as Chairman for 3 years.

The Bank’s Board has at various times comprised of prominent personalities from all the fields of Society. There have been chartered accountants, lawyers, industrialists, and traders on the Board of the Bank. At present Shri Ajay Choksi is Chairman and Shri Bakul Pandya is Vice Chairman.

As times have changed, the Bank has striven to diversify its mix of borrowers so that today, we finance MSME units from various industries, doctors and professionals and many service enterprises as well as students and individuals. Our focus is on small borrowers, and we are targeting healthy growth in net advances of at least 25% year on year. We are also focusing on opening more savings accounts and providing more lockers to our account holders. The emphasis is on providing even better service and safe banking in this digital age, especially for senior citizens, with the facility of doorstep banking in the security of their homes.
